AliMed® Inflatable Therapy Carrot™ Hand Contracture Orthosis Kit painlessly positions severely contracted hands for better patient comfort and easier caregiving. Deflated Carrot with velvety, bacteriostatic cloth cover is gently pulled into hand using the unique plastic "Magic Wand." The Carrot is then gradually inflated, helping to lift fingertips away from the palm to protect the skin from excessive moisture, pressure, and the risk of nail puncture injuries while giving caregivers easier access to the hand for better hygiene and reduced infection risk. Unlike most solid splints, the deflated Carrot fits into even the most severely contracted hands, making it ideal for patients experiencing extreme pain, discomfort, or anxiety from splint placement. Graduated markings on the cover accurately measure and document patient's progress. Kit includes one deflated Carrot, two cloth covers, inflator bulb, and two Magic Wands.
