Complex Challenges for Cognition, by Susan Howell Brubaker, Carolyn Doty, and Lisa Mammoser, is a collection of mid- to high-level visually based Challenges on large four-color card stock. The directions are on one side and the activity for those directions are on the other side. Client must retain and apply information to complete the tasks. The Challenges incorporate working memory and attention while addressing skills such as visual scanning, word retrieval, math, and reading. Appropriate for adolescents and adults experiencing cognitive deficits. Each Challenge is unique, easily adaptable, engaging, and fun. May also be used in language, aphasia, stroke, retraining, cognition, apraxia/dysarthria, and memory therapy.
